Benedictions

The following blessings include words from the Unami Dialect of Lenape and incorporate phraseology consistent with Nanticoke-Lenape cultural traditions.  (by Dr JR Norwood)

Kehela![1] Truly!  May the great warrior, Jesus Christ, the Chief of Heaven and Rescuer of his people, show you his power, stand you up well, and give you his peace. Na ne lekech.[2]

May the goodness of Jesus, the love of the Creator, and the constant embrace of the Great Spirit be with you all! Na ne lekech. (based on 2 Corinthians 13:14)

Now to He who can do much more than we ask of him... even much more than we can dream... through his power that works in us, to the Great One be glory among his people and in Christ Jesus to all the generations to come always. Na ne lekech! (based on Ephesians 3:20-21)

May He-Who-Creates-Us-By-His-Thoughts put his arms around you, put his power in you, and help you to walk in a good way. Through Jesus Christ. Na ne lekech!
